At my work they have also started a no smoking policy. I don't really want to quit smoking cigarettes, but am not really sold on the idea of electronic cigarettes.

Has anybody tried to quit smoking using one of these e-cigs?

I just want to tell people not to be fooled by the prices on the electronic cigarettes they see for sale. I've bought some of the cheap ones and you might as well throw your money away.

I bought the Greensmoke, and thought it was a little pricy and expected great things from it, but it was only average. I thought the V2 was also pricy but bought it based on the recommendation on this forum, and I don't regret it. It is every bit as good as they say. The carts last a long time and make the price worth every penny.

Don't you think all the fruity flavors for e-cigarettes might appeal to children?

I probably should say that I like the different flavors and smoke my e-cig instead of eating when I get hungry. It gives my mouth a treat. I've tried several and I just like the variety of flavors. Maybe this is not a good reason to smoke my electronic cigarette, but I began to wonder if kids might do the same, and that wouldn't be good.

I've tried the blu and the only flavor there I like is their coffee ( think it's called Java). All the others taste weird.

I wanted to quit smoking after almost 20 years of cigarettes and decided to try out electronic cigarettes. After reading the reviews here I purchased the SmokeStik and liked it a lot.

On the one hand I know I am still ingesting nicotine, but on the other I feel like I have gotten off cigarettes. It took a little while but I feel better, no longer have the cough, and I know I am not putting all those poisons in my body.

I like my morning ritual of a smoke (or now a "vape") with my coffee, one on a mid morning break, and one after a hard day of work. It's kind of like a little reward. I know it's probably all psychological, but hey, I like it and I don't think it's that harmful.

So overall I do feel like I have stopped smoking using electronic cigarettes since I don't consider using e-cigs as "smoking."

Is it true that the FDA is going to tax electronic cigarettes?

I live in Miami and am interested in meeting other people who use electronic cigarettes.

Does anybody else have an interest?

The FDA is really stupid if they want to tax e-cigarettes. Why tax a product that helps people stop smoking?

If lots of people switched from tobacco cigarettes to electronic cigarettes people will live longer and be healthier. The health care industry will eventually have less expenses, the pharmaceutical industry will make less money, and big tobacco will make less money, as well as the federal government.
